Commencement 2024

How to Participate

By April 1, 11:59 PM PT, students must have applied to graduate by completing their Request your Degree or Certificate to be on the list of eligible graduates and candidates.

Graduation To-do List

  1. Connect with a counselor for an unofficial evaluation to confirm completion of degree/certificate requirements. You can also use DegreeWorks to track your progress.
  2. Submit Request for Degree/Certificate form by April 1. This is required to participate in the commencement ceremony. 
  3. Check your Zonemail for an email invitation from PurplePass to RSVP for Commencement. Also check your spam filter for your invitation.
  4. Get your guest tickets. After you RSVP to attend a Commencement session, you will receive a link to register for guest tickets.
  5. Purchase your Cap, Gown, and Tassel. An email will be sent to you after you RSVP with information on how to order your cap, gown, and tassel.

When will I get notified that I am eligible to participate in Commencement? 

You will be notified based on when you submitted your Request for Degree/Certificate. Below is a timeline of when you should expect your invitation.

An email invitation from PurplePass will be sent to your Zonemail on how to RSVP for Commencement, register for guest tickets and purchase cap and gown. 

Friday, May 10, 11:59 PM (PST), is the very last day for eligible graduates and candidates to RSVP for Commencement.

A RSVP is required to participate.

Eligible graduates and candidates must RSVP to one of the two ceremonies to participate in person. Each graduate will be allowed three guests and tickets can be obtained by completing the RSVP process. Every guest must have a ticket. Each ticket is unique and can only be scanned once.

How do I RSVP?

After Thursday, February 1, eligible graduates and candidates will receive an email with instructions from PurplePass on how to RSVP for the Commencement.

Where is my RSVP? 

Eligible graduates and candidates will receive an email (to your Zonemail) with instructions to RSVP for the Commencement. Please check your Zonemail and spam folder! Visit the Zonemail webpage for access and support. If you experience any issues with your RSVP, please email pacinfo@aderisaproductions.com for assistance.

What do I do if I don’t get an email to RSVP? 

CHECK YOUR ZONEMAIL AND SPAM FOLDER. A Request for Degree/Certificate must be submitted by the due date of April 1st to be invited to Commencement. 

Can I show up on the day of commencement without an RSVP?  

No. All participants and guest must submit an RSVP to attend. 

 

We do not anticipate any additional available seats. AFTER MAY 10, If tickets are still available after all eligible graduates and candidates have RSVP'd, we will email availability to your Zonemail. Please check your Zonemail and spam folder! Visit the Zonemail webpage for access and support.

We will also be providing an “overflow” area in the SOTA Plaza and Stage One where people may view the ceremony. This will be the LIVESTREAM being projected on a large screen. 

All participating graduates and candidates need to purchase the regalia which consists of cap, gown and tassel.

The regalia will be mailed to the student’s home address.
Due dates to order regalia:

    • Order by April 25th by 8:59pm (PST) to receive the standard shipping fee.

    • Orders placed after April 25th deadline thru May 11th by 8:59 pm (PST) (final due date) will be considered “RUSH Orders” and will have a higher shipping fee.

Regalia can also be purchased at Grad Fair

Regalia can also be purchased at Grad Fair on March 12th and 13th, 10am to 4pm, in the Gladiator Resource Hub, building 3800. Supplies and sizes will be limited and on a first-come, first-served basis.
